Jesus Had a Crippled Lamb

Jesus knew the little lambs, their fleece as black as coal.
And everywhere the little lambs went, their burden was sure to go.
Jesus came to see all of the little lambs
Big and small, young and old
They knew this was Jesus--the Good Shepherd
All the lambs had been told.
And least of all, was the crippled lamb
The lamb everyone knew so well
For he had just three little legs
And he never owned a bell.
As the crippled lamb limped closer to Jesus
The other lambs crowded him away
"The Good Shepherd has no time for him," they thought
"Go away, crippled lamb, go away!"
Sadly, the crippled lamb's tears began to flow
And slowly he began to leave
But then, a strong arm was felt
As he was held closely in Jesus' sleeves.
A big smile was on the Good Shepherd's face
As He hugged the little crippled lamb close
Jesus said, "Great is the one who gives to the least,
The one who gives to the least the most."
Now Jesus has a crippled lamb
With fleece as white as snow
And everywhere the Good Shepherd went
The little crippled lamb was sure to follow!
Follow Jesus, our Good Shepherd. He will never leave us. ....Mama says
