Shoes/boots of peace--Ephesians 6:15

The first thing to feel sore on me are my feet. You can tell I am older just by that opening sentence to this blog. My kids have bought their own Panda Nike shoes, and I've learned new footwear words like "slides," "dunks," and "kicks."
I still like my 'Hey Dudes.'
Shoes in the armor of God give us mobility and stability. Shoes of faith help with balance, providing firm footing in our lives. A Biblically rooted shoe will offer a strong foundation for our soul to stand upon. We can be "steady and ready" each day by putting on our shoes of peace, (W Wiersbe).
How can anyone preach unless they are sent? As it is written, "How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!" Romans 10:15
Jesus Himself is our only peace. We can share the peace His has given us to those around us. A striking contrast in this ever-changing world.
The Bible encourages us to not fear where our feet are led to go by God. "Have I not commanded you? Be strong! Be courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged--for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go." Joshua 1:9
Daily reading God's Word, our Bible, will give us roots and wisdom as we navigate the ups and downs of life. We can cling to God's truth when too many think truth can be defined by finite minds. We need to know and grow in our Bibles--God is talking to us. Our number one relationship in which all others are stacked upon.
"Too many of God's people are tumbleweeds--they do not know God or His Word and are tossed about." --Warren Wiersbe
The shoes of peace...put them on each day steady and ready for wherever God guides you... Mama says!
