The Promise of Christmas
The promise of Christmas is not found in a box
Not wrapped in fancy paper; the promise of Christmas cannot be bought
The promise of Christmas is Jesus our Lord
Who came down from Heaven with His gift of eternal reward
P is for Peace
Peace for all
Glory to God in the highest
Was the angels' song! (Isaiah 26:3)
R is for Royalty
A King to all people
Has come
Lying in a manger bed
Ruler of everyone (1 Timothy 6:15)
O is for One Small Child
With a cry
Baby Jesus was born
Mary wrapped Him tight
Keeping Him safe and warm (Luke 2:16)
M is for Manger
Baby Jesus' first bed
The cradle for the Son of God
As He lay down His sweet head (Luke 2:12)
I is for Immanuel
God with us
For a very long time
People waited
God kept His promise (Isaiah 7:14, Matthew 1:23)
S is for Savior
Jesus was born
to save all people from our sins
If we ask for forgiveness
He gives us new life from within (John 3:16-17)
E is for Eternal
Life forever
The promise Jesus made
Heaven is our reward
For all who believe in His Name (Philippians 3:20)
Jesus is the promise of Christmas to all who believe
His love He freely gives, the choice is up to us to receive
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year Love, Jim and Kari c. 2025
