Laurel, MS!

Taking time to explore Laurel and trying to get in some steps, I began at Peddler's JUNKtion. An antique mall style store that has a lot of variety to look at. Nearby is The Remnant and other small stores. I found three rafia trivets to add to my collection. The ladies are always very kind and welcoming.

lots of fun stuff in many fun booths!

Thankful Grandma got me started on the crazy daisy--spring blossom--green and white pyrex. So useful and durable, i use it all the time.
And Mom added the harvest set of bowls that help me in the kitchen greatly. Thanks, Mom!

After reading all the signs and junkin' at the Junktion, i walked over to Wilson's Commissary for lunch. I enjoy the double cheeseburger. Right on the corner in the downtown area, many stores are close by.

Very friendly waitress and a nice break for me to
sit down and eat. This place has indoor and outdoor seating.
Then it is off to the Laurel Mercantile. Hometown central in this store. Paintings by Erin and by Adam Trest from the Hometown TV show. Cutting boards and wood products from Scotsman Brothers. T-shirts, gifts, dishware, books, quilts, and more.

Next was the Laurel Leaf, lots of gift items and decor. Great variety. This picture above is a dress made out of white plates. that greets you as you walk in the door.

His artwork is whimsicle and fun. The dogs, the flowers, the the foxes. He has had his art featured on the Hometown show. and he was recently interviewed by The Heirloom podcast on youtube. An artist all his life, I really enjoy his creations. And his wife is a major part of his art.

A great walking tour in Laurel today. Now it's time to go inside and rest in the ac!
