Today we are celebrating my Mom turning 70 years old. My brothers and I, with our families, will gather around a table and see the many blessings she has sown countless seeds for.
Her prayers are unceasing. Her hospitality amazing. Her love for God's Word, the Bible, unending.
Since I was a ten year old girl sitting near an old wall heater in a tiny apartment on a wintery day, she has been sowing seeds from God into my life.
Her craftiness and hanfiwork gave wallpaper shingles and beaded curtains amongst other hand-made items for my barbie house. She sewed a prairie girl outfit that i loved because I was a fan of Laura Ingallls Wilder and the "Little House" books. She led a young girls book atudy for me and my friends introducing me to my hero of the faith, Corrie ten Boom.
Mom has been a gift to me in all the mountaintops and valleys in my life. She inspires me for all she has overcome in her own life.
I love you, Mom! Happy 70th! Happy Mother's Day!
Tell your Mama you love her... Mama says!
(maybe you are missing someone this Mother's Day--perhaps send a card, text, call, etc to someone else in their honor and memory)
