Life Abundant!

A new week, in this new month, the calendar keeps racing along. Unless you are a teacher right now. Brave souls are our teachers with students chomping at the bit for summer break. Each day has up moments and down times, victories and defeats. Life is full of ups and downs and mountain tops and valleys.
Each day has its own distractions, worries, to-do lists, phone calls, texts, and more. What will we have for supper? Should I do that load of laundry today or tomorrow? Gas in the car? What did the doctor say? How much was that bill??? Big decision to make and I am not sure what the future will look like. One final down, four more to go. Will the kids get along better? Did the dog chew up my new shoe? Where did everybody go? Will I have a job tomorrow? Living each day with challenges and decisions that accumulate into a lifetime. How many days will we have? Will I make the most of each day even when I feel tired and want to do nothing at all?
"The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I (Jesus) have come so that they may have life and may have it abundantly." (John 10:10) No matter what we are facing today, no matter how long our list is to get done, no matter how tired or energized we may feel, we can know that we do not need to do this life alone.
We have Jesus with us in everything. All things are in His hands including you and me. He's got the whole world in His hands. In His hands is the safest place to be. He does not sleep nor change. What a comfort when change is constant. God will give us what we need when we need it. He is faithful and true.
Jesus gives us an abundant life.... Mama says.
